Narre Warren North is situated around 30 kilometres South East of Melbourne, falling within the City of Casey. The electorate spans 57 square kilometres and encompasses the entire suburbs of Narre Warren North, Narre Warren, Hallam, Endeavour Hills, and parts of Lysterfield South, Berwick and Harkaway. 

The name Narre Warren is of Aboriginal origin, meaning small hills according to one interpretation. Historically, the lands around Narre Warren North were inhabited by the Bunurong/Boonwurrung Peoples, though it is now home to Aboriginal people from across the country.
